2003年よりStudio ritam主宰 MIHO に師事。
ターキッシュオリエンタルを基調とした、フュージョンベリーダンサー。
ロマやラテン、モダンジャズなどベリーダンスだけにとどまらず国内外にて様々なスタイルのダンス、そしてエスニカルな表現を学び、音楽と共にある踊りを追求している。
曲を選ぶ独特のセンスはミュージシャンたちからも注目されており、世界中にあるまだまだ知らない音楽との化学反応を求めて活動中。
他ジャンルのアーティストとの交流も広く、イベントプロデュースも手懸ける。
2017年春より、自身のプロジェクト『AYUMI ethnique』をスタート。民族的でエキセントリックな世界観をベースにAYUMIならではの表現を創作している。
2018年春には自身のブランド「Retromantica」（レトロマンティカ）をスタート。AYUMIが好きなレトロでロマンティックな世界観を表現。ファッション業界での様々な出会いから得た感覚と、ダンサーならではのユーザビリティにこだわったデザインをテーマにアイテムを展開する。
