Tomoko Nagashima

Vocalist/lyricist/composer/producer.

Born June 2, 1979 in Hyogo Prefecture. Orange Pekoe was formed in 1998 with guitarist Kazuma Fujimoto.

A unique style of self-producing and sublimating various music, mainly jazz and Brazilian.

She became popular for her beautiful Japanese lyrics and soulful and inclusive singing voice.

After making their indie debut while attending Kwansei Gakuin University, they became a hot topic in clubs and cafes.

He made his major debut from BMG Fun House (currently Sony Music Labels Ariola Japan) and gained great support.

Their first album debuted at number 5 on Oricon. It became a huge hit, selling over 350,000 copies.

He has won numerous awards including the Japan Gold Disc Award for Newcomer of the Year. In addition, for the first time in history, 36 radio FM stations were in heavy rotation.

To date, they have released 7 original albums, 12 single CDs, 2 mini albums, 5 planned albums including a live CD/DVD and best album including the final day of the album tour at NHK Hall, and 7 albums. Released an analog EP and 5 analog LPs.

Up-and-coming artists are featured on the jacket, and the production of the artwork is also attracting attention.

In addition, he has a wide range of activities such as commercial tie-up songs, movie theme songs, and collaborations with fashion brands, and his activities include CD releases, festival invitations, and one-man live performances not only in Japan but also in various Asian countries. Also, in 2010, he became the first J-pop artist to hold a live performance called "orange pekoe with the Big Band Party Night!!!" in which he led an 18-member big band jazz orchestra for the entire performance, which later became an annual year-end live, and continued until 2014. It was also released as a planned album by King Records in 2009.

At the same time, they have gained a reputation for their highly improvisatory performances as a simple duo of singing and guitar, and have toured the country.

Also, under the solo name Nia, her debut album ``NIA'', which was recorded in New York in 2012 and has all English lyrics, was released in 2014 on King Records and the American indie label Atlanta Records.

Moved to New York in 2016, then moved to Los Angeles.

In addition to live performances, she holds "Sound Yoga - Musicalchemy" workshops at yoga studios.
